Exams are pretty much over as the graduating class of 2010 gets ready for their ceremony tomorrow.
Congratulations to all the third years who are leaving after their (arduous!) three years of training. And already there’s good news.
Rose Buckmaster started dancing at the age of four. She chose to come to MDDC for the wide range of subjects to qualify as a dance teacher. And before she’s even graduated there is a job lined up in Majorca that will kick-start Rose’s dancing career.
Alyssa Stott is off to Egypt with Dolce Vienna Entertainment. She started dancing as soon as she could walk and says that “MDDC is the best for dance teaching and dance performance training”.
We wish all the third years the very best as they start their dance careers. Don’t forget to keep in touch and let us know what you get up to!

Well, that’s it – the end of another year. And what an amazing year. Outstanding performances by the whole college in the March and May shows, great exam success and the whole world just about to open up for the Graduates.
Rafe Clarke, 22, is off to Australia and New Zealand with Princess Cruises with rehearsals beginning on September 10th in Florida.
Gemma Robinson,19, and Anthony Robinson, also 19 are off to North Africa, the Med, the Canaries and the Caribbean with Mirage/Fred Olsen with rehearsals starting soon in the UK.
When asked what they hoped to get from their first jobs it seems a greater sense of confidence in the commercial world of dance is the primary aim.
Since graduation their have been a whole raft of auditions for our newest graduates. Well done and good luck to all MDDCGraduates!
It’s been frenetic at MDDC since Christmas. First there was the March show (which was Abbalicious in case you missed it!), then ex-student Ray Quinn won Dancing on Ice leaving just six weeks to prepare, rehearse and perform the MDDCShowcase 2009 featuring Guys and Dolls – and that’s not mentioning the exams!
Now there’s only 10 days to get your tap shoes on for either one class or a full day of tap dance workshops with Tap Attack!
Whether you’re Grade 3 or a complete Tapaholic there’ll be something for you on June 7th. Rushing back from engagements in Europe and the Far East, Tap Attack is looking forward to being at MDDC again.
